Giant Toadstool Finished

I finished a mini-project today. This one is for my shop partner. But if you want one, drop me a line.
Pattern credit goes to Chase Clark of Oakland California. http://diyods.blogspot.com/2011/08/giant-amigurumi-toadstool-pattern.html

This mushroom came together quickly. I changed one thing on the original pattern - I make crochet circles instead of cutting them out of felt. I enjoyed making this one. Now I've got to get back to the circle vest.

About Chrystal Peavy

Hi There!

My name is Chrystal. I've been crocheting and working with other yarn crafts for over 34 years. I’ve taught crochet classes, tested patterns, and made all sorts of stuff from traditional blankets and baby booties to novel cat ear hats, amigurumi penguins, and giant mandala wall art. I’d rather be curled up on the couch with a ball of yarn any day.

I'm a mother of four, I graduated from the University of North Texas, and I work there too. My oldest daughter and I are making this website to promote our finished items.  If you want something customized, just drop us a line – we can do it!

In the blog pages you will also find some patterns I've written. Feel free to use these patterns to make your own items. If you get stuck, let me know and I'll try my best to help you. I do not sell my patterns because I hope to support new crochet artists as they learn the craft. Keep crocheting people, it's a hobby, a stress reliever, and a valuable skill.

Remember, due to the Creative Commons license you are not allowed to sell my patterns. You may sell the items you make following my patterns but please give credit to me - Chrystal Peavy of YarnKittens. Thank you.

About Rue

Yo!

The name is Rue. I've been crocheting and working with fiber arts over half my life. 18 years now I think? I've taught a few people how to crochet but mostly I just assist locally in the "wait, why isn't this pattern making sense" type of way. I've made all sorts of classic things like blankets, sweaters and stuffies. But they all have had a bit more of my own artistic flair.

I'd much rather be curled up on a floor cushion working on my crafts and cuddling my cat while we watch anime or play video games than going into the out. There's a deadly laser up in the sky after all. [That all being said, I'm glad you're here with us as we all continue this journey together.]
